Autoimmune Neurologic Diseases
One group of disorders, the autoimmune neurologic diseases, are defined by an identifiable immune response targeting a specific site or antigen in the nervous system. These can be further divided into peripheral and central diseases, and those that are associated with cancer (paraneoplastic neurological disorders) and those that are non-paraneoplastic.
